Victorian Field Artillery

I am wondering if you have heard of a photographer called A.O.Thomas ? We have tried so many places & people, but with no luck.

A photographer friend of mine saved a collection of photographs taken in the 1890's ( they were being destroyed on a building site in Fremantle, Western Australia ). The bulk of the photographs are taken in Victoria of the 'Victorian Field Artillery'. Various military groups. He must have had a studio in South Yarra ( a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria ) as some photos have his name plus South Yarra on them.
